Congratulations to Jenny Cassidy, who received Life Membership of Fencing SA at the Awards Presentation in February 2023. 

Jenny has been fencing for 40 years, having started at Daws Road High School in 1973, In addition to competing, she also involved herself in fencing administration at club, state and national level. 

in 1993 she received her FIE C Grade referee qualification in foil, epee and sabre - the first woman in the world to be accredited in all three weapons, and the first female FIE accredited sabre referee.  

She was the inaugural President of Trott Park Fencing Club 2004-2008, and is a Life Member of that club and the Adelaide University Fencing Club. 

Jenny continues to coach and spread her love of fencing, last year piloting the AUSFENCE program in South Australian primary schools. 

Jenny is an extremely well-deserving recipient of Life Membership.
